Hi all readers! Know why am I MIA(missing in action) for these past few days? Floorball Camp!
At 1st I was so looking forward to it, thinking it would be a FUN camp. Unfortunately, it was a TRAINING camp... Never mind that, it was still rather fun... I hope...
I woke up early in the morning, fearing that I might be late (Like always)... I was on time!!!~~~ Phew, late comers had to run 10 rounds~~~
It started with the 'C' Div having court training while the 'B' Div doing circuit training. The Sec 3 did not have their file with them so we KINDLY lend them our's. In the END, the file was lost and the Sec 3s all kindly denied that they had the file with them... Thanks alot... The punishment did not come straight then, it awaited us till the next day morning...
After that, we did court training and went out for lunch... A few of us returned early and played Bball for a while... After that, we went to 2-8 classroom as instructed by Mr Han. We had 2 hours of lesson, basically teaching us more about our muscles, what is in our body, nutrition, how to deal with injuries and stuff like that... I would'nt say it was boring, I just saw ppl yawning that's all... XD
It was around 3 whe it all ended. "YAWN" We were told it was REST TIME...
So Bball? Nope.
Floorball. Nope.
Running around? Nope.
It was AFTERNOON NAP! Woots. Have you heard of afternoon nap during a camp? Well, tis was my 1st time XD... Me and Eugene went to bathe. After tat, Ryan and I were slacking in the hall, while the rest went to the primary school canteen to fool around and disturb the canteen auntie. Seemed like they had fun~~~
We were given 1 and half hours to have our dinner. We went to get chips too, for the movie later... The much awaited movie... It was "The Titans(I think)"... I watched it before during Carpe Diem ,Plus, It sucks!!! I think it was at least filmed 10 years ago... We ended up eating snacks instead of watching the movie...
After doing some reflection on the movie, it was shower time! Isaac and Jie Ying had a wonderful plan and it was to shower at the indoor sports hall while everyone else go bathe somewhere else. Somehow this plan was leaked out and everyone went thr to bathe instead. In the end, Jie Ying, Isaac, Warren(Sec 1 DSA next year), and I went to the toilet next to the DnT workshop to bathe... Haiz.
We were told to tucked in at 10.30. Hey, when did you have a camp and sleep at 10+? I was sleeping with Cren, Ryan and Derek. Derek slept early, Ryan and Cren were listening to the radio. Dude, the songs were nice, a bit loud thou... Slept Slept Slept...
The next morning, after washing up and breakfast, the much anticipated thing happened...
"Where is the Sec 2 file?"
Good Game. 100 rounds...
Thank alot agn Sec 3s... We ran 23 rounds and went for court training at 9. We will run the rest of them at the next training. After a short court training and an early lunch, at 10.30(Dude, normally, I would be having breakfast), it was time for the friendly match against HillGrove (Kept saying mangroove XD)...
It was the 'C' Div to play 1st. They were losing 3-1 at the 3rd period but managed to win it at the very last second. 3-4. I was thinking, the sec 1 could have won much easier...
Joshua was saying," Those ppl had like the words""Own Me" on their faces.
Yea, I agreed... The 'B' div did much better, we won 10-0. I scored the opening goal only, had quite a handful of chances but some hit the post. Dickson got a hat trick, Jarryl and Dion got 2. Jarryl did a super GAY half court shot! Nicholas and Isaac also made it on the score sheet... Mr Han was rather happy with our performance, however, he said we could have destroyed them totally, instead of giving them some hin the third period where we managed a 0-0.
After that, we packed up and went home by MRT... And I would like to thank Ryan, for lending me his socks for the friendly... Bye people!!!

Since Cren is busy, I shall do the updating!!!
Well, Holiday training have already started... Circuit C is very tough, Good Luck to all of you(including me)... Sec 2 are currently training in new gym while Sec 3 are training in old gym.
I hope that everybody can train hard for the upcoming season and get a top 4 finish. It is not immpossible but rather hard only... We can do it as long as we can work hard.

Back
Okay. So training has started. Time to train hard guys. Season is coming.
Anw there will be a floorball competition 3v3 at the end of next month. I think you guys know already.
Currently only 1 team has been formed. Consists of Josh , Darrell , Jarryl and me.
Hurry up and form a team before the deadline which is on the 31 Oct.
Btw we were thinking of CHSInferno as our name. Any suggestions?

Fun day in training
Today's training started off with gym sessions for both sec 2 and 3's at 930. Then we went for lunch and slacked around as we waited for the rain to stop before going back to school.
As trng started , MrHan asked us to put our sticks at the side , which led to us dreading that we were gonna do suicide drills. O.O But guess wad? Surprise surprise , MrHan took out a miniature rugby ball and let us play some sorta handball game which became Rugby at the end :D
Hanwei's team were kind of dominating ours. But the best part was seeing MrHan getting tackled!! Rofl.
It was certainly a great start to our training. Then we proceeded with our usual drills
before going on to games. Overall both the teams played well.
So yea , this was one of the most fun training sessions ever :]
Hopefully we get to have more similar training sessions again. And lastly i think the team would thank MrHan for this fun training. And lastly of course our shoutout to MrHan , " Play more 'rugby' next time! " Haha.

Bad day in training.
Today was a rather bad day in training because some of the players forgot about the change in time slots for today's training. Thus , they were unable to participate in training at all.Well . guys..this is further proof for you to follow this blog!! If you

Ok. Then MrHan gave us a hairdryer treatment. Scolded us for a long time. I hope the sec three's whom were the main targets in the scolding will prove MrHan wrong. After all we do have a good leader amongst us. :] Anw , from the lecture , we know that MrHan has ordered Adidas sponsored jerseys for us!! But if we continue to piss him off then i think we can kiss goodbye to the jerseys too. And MrHan has also thought of holding a trip to 'somewhere else' for the team at the end of the year!
Lets prove MrHan wrong :]

Next week Schedule
Next week training resumes only on Thurday. Due to Tuesday being a holiday for Teacher's Day.
June Holidays Schedule will also be out soon , so no excuses to miss any training!
Okay, so you all know. Homecoming Day is approaching.
We have to do our stall properly in order to earn money. Though i stil think having a food stall will earn more money , a games stall is good enough too , afterall there wont be any cost prize. Anw , the important thing is , if we do earn ample money , we can actually use this money for certain activities for Floorball. Like using it to pay for the league's cost , or to use it to organise a chalet or barbeque etc.
So lets all do a good job for homecoming. Anybody who has an idea for the Homecoming Advertising Video please feel free to share your ideas.

Another day of training
Hey peeps , today was another day of training. Both sec twos and threes did gym before the court training.
Lol , Dion and co. were like talking about muscles and abs etc and cracked jokes throughtout the gym as we did the rountines. A rather enjoyable session of gym (:
Then we went to the indoor sports hall to prepare for court training as the sec ones were finishing their's off.
Personally after watching them play , there is stil lots more of room for improvement for the sec ones , but there is stil time though not much. So hopefully they can improve fast for their season.
Then off we started our court trng. Same drills and stuff before game.
Mr Han decided to make us concentrate on ball possession and the usage of the simple double , M and W drills to score goals.In the end , Lander ended up in my team and we played without any goalies since only Lander was around.Played quite okay.
Anw after that , we headed home after a tiring day of training. Thurs training is still on , but maybe the sec three hcl students wont be attending due to the tea excursion thing.. So thats about it.
And lastly , a shoutout to MR HAN.
If you are reading this .. get us a friendly!! The B div are all so disappointed at not being able to play with River Valley.. Lawl.

Another update on the latest news.
Today , the sec ones faced off against River Valley's Girls Team.
They started the match slowly but soon began to control the game before winning it 8-3.
Overall it was a good game for the sec ones after all its their first ever friendly game. And Jarryl (sec two) performed well in his first friendly too :]
So congratulations to the Sec ones , but there is much more to improve on of course.
And lastly , we would like to wish River Valley's Team the best in all their future games.

After a long time since the last post..finally another update!
Today several of us went for a Floorball Clinic hosted by Fatpipe and several finnish players. Namely Jani Naumanen , who is the goalie for Finland , and another Finnish League Div 1 outfielder. Forgot his name :D
Anw..along with us were some adults , a student from Hwa Chong International and Argonnaut , a Victoria Sec Goalie and Mr Han.
We started off with drills which tired us out already..As we progressed in the training, the drills became tougher , more interesting and concentrating on different aspects of our game.
Also we got to see the skills of the outfielder and Jani..It was a total eye opener..For the outfielder , his shots are very accurate and powerful..Jani was totally imba. His throws travel from one end of the court to the other in about 1s. And when he throws the ball , a very distinguishable swooshing sound of air. Maybe this is how a world-class goalie is.
All in all , the clinic was very eventful as we learnt many stuff.
Many thanks to Fatpipe for organising this event and we hope to participate more in such events.

Raffles Instituition (6-3)
Bukit Merah (5-4)
And with that our team's season is over. Now lets all train for the next season!
There will be no training from now til MRs are over. There will be a friendly with Hwa Chong International on 30 Apr.Hopefully we can get a good result then.
Well let me dedicate this song to the C Div. Its called 'So close so far' by Hoobastank. And..well.its a same case of so-close-so-far-ness for the C Div.

Hey guys. Sry for the late post.Been busy in school and well brushing up my floorball and DotA skills :)
Anw there are a few results to update on ,
First, our last match in the first round against Canberra Sec ended in a 12-1 victory.
After that we are through to the second round of the C div! Our next groupings turned out to be quite tough. With top teams like Bukit Merah , Northland , RI and Northbrooks
in our group.
Our first game was against Northland which is a floorball powerhouse as our C div boys eagerly pit their skills against.
Though we led the game after a good shot by Samuel in the second period , we let in a goal in the last period through a minor mistake which cost us to lose 2 valuable points.However it was a good game where our boys stuck to their tasks and showed that they can match one of the best in floorball. Good job guys. And good luck for your match against Northbrooks next tomorrow!

Back with a bang. Thats exactly what our C div boys did. Furthermore , against a Filip Dahlgren led team , East View too! For your information , Filip Dahlgren is the Singapore Team National coach.
The team eager to gain back some pride after last games beating started off strongly..
and played well to draw the first period.
The second period was equally as intensive as both teams went forth to break the deadlock.However neither could break past each's defense.
The final period began with East View scoring twice. With a CHS goal in between both goals.However the C div boys kept their nerve in touch to score two more goals to lead in the last 4 min by a goal. The match between CHS and Bedok South has ended with CHS winning 10-3!
The match started off well with goals from Samuel,Ryan and Darrell.
In the second period, they began to play their star player,#10, who was devastingly fast in his superb spin-arounds and speed.This unsettled the team's defence as BSS went on to score 2 more goals.However Lady Luck seems to be smiling down on us as Darrell scored a fluke as the ball bounced into the goal beneath the diving goalie as he mistimed a shot.Well, a goal is stil a goal.
BSS went on to press us hard as they earnt multiple freehits where their #10 proceeded to throw to waste with several airhook attempts.
We then went on to score several goals through Darrell again, Joshua and Ryan.
In the last period, the team capitalised on some mistakes made by BSS and scored a few more goals and recorded a good result for their first National game.
While it was a good start to the C div campaign, the standard in the C div is very different from the B div, so hopefully the C div team will be able to play like this and progress further in the Nationals!

Hey guys.Had our friendly with Pres. High.
To summarise , they were a class above us.
They had one combined school player.Their Captain(Jianyi # 21), their #6 and # 22(Victor) are damn good.Their shots are very powerful and accurate.
They played in a 1-2-1 formation and their off the ball running was very good causing all sorts of problems for our team as we eventually lost out by 12-0.
Although we were thrashed..There are still some positives to be taken from.
We managed to get more shots towards the end of the game.And the experience we gained from this game was very good too.
so overall it was a good friendly where we can learn alot of things from.
Afterall this is only our first year in floorball.

The monday blues.
We can all finally understand what it means.
Today we wore our blue jersey against Pingyi.
They came with a proper strategy on how to stop us.And they were spot on.
Today our attack was toothless.Our defence was leaky.
So enough said.We didnt play well today.

They came with a proper strategy on how to stop us.And they were spot on.

Secondly.Pls do not go around and say that our team is screwed and that we do not have communication and spirit.Esp when we are in the midst of our nationals.
By saying this things , about the team thing.. Arent you showing that you are part of the reason why the team is like that?

Hey guys!!
Today's training was ok..then we had NJC people coming down to train! And after that Argonnauts(Div 2) people!!
OMG.
There was this guy who was the 'pro' whom we seen in june last year when they came to our school to train.This time he has longer hair.Much nicer.Haha
But his drag and slap are awesome.Even better are his ball control and passing which was god-like. At one point of the game , when he was behind the goalpost , he did not do airhook. But instead used a very special trick of his.First he lifts the ball onto the mid part of his blade and then twisted his stick to goal and scored. Perhaps it sounds easy on paper but if you had seen it yrself , you would be amazed! All the argonnauts people were cheering after that goal.. Throughout the game he was probably one of the best player as he time and again beat players on the court with his superb ball control skills.
Also , there were two coral sec students in Argonnaut too.There was their captain(sporton champion) and another guy.Their overall play was superb too.
Well , all of the argonanuts players were very good.Even their newly recruited players.
This was a very good experience for those who stayed and watch and lets hope they do come back to train again!

Today was our third league game against Greendale Sec.
We lost 5-4 in an evenly-contested match.
Started off well with Ian scoring after hitting a bouncing ball in the middle of the goal area.
Then they proceeded to score 2 more i think.
Then Ian passes to Crenshawn who then scores to the top corner of the goal.
With the match tied.We were starting to get our confidence back.However they stil managed to score again.
Then in a fast breakaway , Ian passes to Crenshawn who scores from near-range after going around the goalie.
The score was 4-3 til the final 4th min when a good one-two between Wee Kiat and Crenshawn resulted in a shot to the top corner by Crenshawn.
It was tied at 4-4 again with 4 mins left.
Unluckily , they managed to score another goal from a free hit with only 2 min left..
Tho it was a defeat , I'm sure everyone has learnt something from this game. So lets hope that we can do well against PingYi on next mon!

Today we had our second nationals game against Northlight Sec.
*First Period*
It started off badly with all the players taking a long time to feel the groove and it ended up with the scoreline being 3-1 to them after the first period..
Ian scores from a lucky goal that bounces and goes past goalies leg into the bottom corner.Nice.
*Second Period*
After much reprimanding from our coach and some tactical debriefing we finally kicked into gear 3.

Hi guys..The league game with Fat Boys Slimming juz ended and so did our season in the SFL..TT
I will miss it.Hah
Anw today we only had 9 outfielders so we had to play a little conservatively..Joshua scored one from a rebound.Darius scored two nice goals. And i scored one too.
Congrats to Joshua for his first goal in the league!!
And also congrats to Darius for being the top scorer in our team for the league!!
At least it was a fun and special game.
We have now managed to score goals against good teams which is a good sign.So lets work on our game to improve and strive to reach the further stages of the nationals!!

Another typical day in training tho it was quite fun..Did the usual drills and game.After that we went to Vahall to see helmets and sticks..In the end Han Wei bought a Zone helmet for 220..O_O..Damn ex but quite nice.Yi Shen after borrowing money from lots of people bought his second stick..An Unihoc Ace.Green.not bad.XD Then Joshua bought a unihoc stick too.Rad i think...silver and pink.

Woohoo!!!
Guess wad??!!
We BEAT Siling Sec 3-1 today!!
Well tho it was quite close and they had numerous shots disallowed...but as i always say..'Champions create their own luck!'

First goal was largely due to good practice in training where we trained our free hits.Ian squared off the ball to Min hao who was unmarked at around the 3-meter line whose resulting shot found the net.1-0.Good team effort!!
Second goal was also part of our usual training.Min hao passes the ball down the boards to Dickson who passes into the penalty box where Crenshawn(me.XP) scored from a good simple double.2-0.Nice goal
Third goal was also from a set-piece.As the opposing team took its own sweet time forming the wall and with the forwards harrassing the goalie..Min hao slapped a good shot to the bottom corner.Good shot.
Well..they probably underestimated us...so lets all work hard and improve for the next game against Northlight sec whom we watched their game today against Yipin..XD
And nice win guys!!HAHA

Hey guys...today's training was alittle slack.did usual drills then practiced free hits.and lastly game...was quite fun but most importantly tmr is our NATS!!!We will leave class at 1250 to try catch the VS last period game...or else we will watch the teams in our group.greendale and northlight i think.XP

Hey today's match just ended...It was a terrific game.We played very well.We even led 1-0 for the first period.XD
But sadly they stepped up their game and scored several goals..but at least Dickson scored from 2 tap-ins.Not bad.I went close when i hit the crossbar following a lob by Ian.The game ended 2-9.
Details of the match:
First attack of the game led to a free hit.
Darius hits the ball to the middle.Nobody marks Dickson who scores from near-range.GOAL.1-0.
The rest of first period went on like that.
Second period we let in several goals.No nid to talk about it.XD
But had some nice attacks.
Third period was good too.All 3 lines did well.
Opponent defender takes the ball.I pressure.I manage to get the ball but loses it back.Pressures again and gets it back again.Pass to middle of goal area.Dickson shoots.Dickson shoots from near-range.Ball deflects off goalie into the goal.

Hopefully they do join instead of juz writing their name down.>.<
Some sec 1s were total pricks...show attitude when we treat u nicely..U_U
Like Mr Han said 'Wads wrong with the new generation?!'
And one of the important news is that we have a new teacher in charge now..
Ms Adeline Krishnan.Check the CHS book to see her pic.Its handed out today.XD

Hey guys..today's training started off on a bad note..Got punished by Mr Han..Then the usual drills.

2) simple dribble
3) shot double
4) the square shape passing thing
5) four corners (board pass and high pass)
6) simple double (with defender)
7) 3v2 , 2v1
8) Game
No more already i think. Basically its like tt.
Finally i mastered slap shots!! Awesome ! Esp with nationals coming soon.
Remembered tt i scored one top corner shot against Mr Han.. Lmao..
Tmr is CCA openhouse ! Hopefully Floorball gets a good reception and im sure we will. And also some talents to add to our talent pool too. Haha

'C' Div's season will start only after term one break so they got time to slack.
